Drs. Ashley Deaton and Kathy Bailey are the founders of Footprints in the Community.
Both have many years of experience working with families of children with special needs. Ashley is an Occupational Therapist specializing in complex feeding disorders and early intervention. Kathy is a Physical Therapist certified in provision of Assistive Technology and specializes in accessibility and early intervention. |
Our Board of Directors
Dr. Ashley Morgan Deaton is an occupational therapist specializing in complex feeding disorders and early intervention with over 20 years experience in the field. She is president of Footprints in the Community, Inc. and co-owner of One Step At A Time Therapy Services, Inc., a comprehensive pediatric rehabilitation provider. Ashley is also president of Deaton Therapeutics, whose mission is creating devices that create inclusion through innovation.
Dr. Kathy Bailey is a physical therapist certified in provision of assistive technology and specializing in accessibility and early intervention with over 20 years of experience in the field. She is the Vice President of Footprints in the Community, Inc. and co-owner of One Step At A Time Therapy Services, Inc.
Tiffany Bowers is a speech language pathologist who has worked with children for over 10 years. She is a strong advocate for children with special needs. She serves children with a variety of communication disorders, including those with Autism.
Jill Wagoner is the parent of a child with special needs. She is the assistant to the Head of School at a private school and Director of Communications there. She is also very active in support groups for parents and in fundraising for Down Syndrome research and activities. Jill regularly blogs about her experiences and is a freelance writer on a variety of topics.
Beth Anderson is an occupational therapy assistant, providing OT services to children with special needs in Rowan and Cabarrus counties. She is a strong advocate for children with special needs and brings a wealth of clinical experience to this board for planning community activities and involving children in our community in inclusive activities.
Paul Lucas is the parent of a child with special needs. He is also very active in fundraising for Down Syndrome research and activities. Paul brings a wealth of experience from his previous employment working with children and adolescents with developmental and behavioral impairments.
